General
This Privacy and Marketing Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how Parently via Circular Launch AB, company registration number 559258-8874, Båtbyggargatan 7, 120 70 Stockholm, email: hej@parently.se, ("Parently", "we") collects, uses, discloses, and stores your personal data.
1.1 The Privacy Policy applies when Parently provides services and products related to purchases, service matters, and other contact with Parently, such as visits to the website. The Privacy Policy also applies to the processing of personal data within the scope of having an account with Parently ("Account Holder").
1.2 You should always feel secure when submitting your personal data to us. This Privacy Policy is intended to show how we ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
2. Data Controller
Parently is the data controller for the processing of your personal data and is responsible for ensuring such processing complies with applicable law. Parently is also the data controller for the processing of personal data within the scope of account ownership with Parently.
3. When do we process your personal data?
3.1 To visit our website, purchase our goods or services, or contact us for service or information, we need to collect and process personal data about you.
3.2 Parently collects and processes personal data about you when you make a purchase on Parently's website, use Parently's customer service, visit Parently's website or an event organized by Parently, or otherwise have contact with Parently. The information collected from you during bookings and purchases is necessary for you to enter into a contract with Parently and for Parently to provide its services and offerings.
3.3 If you have an account with Parently, Parently collects personal data about you that you provide during your account registration. Parently also collects information about you during the time you are an Account Holder within the framework of your account, such as your purchase history, how you interact with Parently's website, which offers you have been interested in by reading an email or clicking on a link. Parently also processes information that Parently occasionally accesses through your account with Parently. As an Account Holder, you can update your information at any time.
3.4 We also collect and update your address details via third-party address updating services.
4. What personal data do we process about you?
4.1 For you as a customer of Parently
The personal data Parently collects and processes about you as a customer who makes purchases and uses our support services are:
- Name and identification number (social security number, national ID, or organization number)
- Address
- Phone number and email
- Payment details
- Order number
- IP address and information about your use of Parently's website
4.2 For you as an Account holder
The personal data Parently collects and processes about you as an Account Holder are:
- Name and identification number (social security number, national ID, or organization number)
- Address
- Phone number and email
- Payment details
- Information about your purchases
- Information about your account ownership
5. Why do we process data about you?
5.1 For you as a customer of Parently
Parently processes your personal data for various purposes. Mainly, Parently processes your personal data to:
- Fulfill our obligations to you as a customer, such as execution of purchases, billing, and providing support;
- Enable general customer care and customer service, such as answering questions and correcting incorrect data;
- Provide information and direct marketing, by post, email, SMS/MMS, and telephone regarding Parently's and selected partners' goods and services;
- Manage the customer relationship and provide our services;
- Give you relevant information and customized offers in newsletters and on the web;
- Assess which payment methods we can offer you, for example, through credit assessments;
- Improve our customer offerings, such as the development of services, products, and features;
- Prevent fraud and perform risk management; and
- Comply with applicable legislation, such as accounting laws.
- The data may also form the basis for market and customer analyses, market research, statistics, business monitoring, and business and method development related to the purchase of goods and services.
5.2 For you as an Account Holder
In addition to the enumeration above, Parently processes personal data about Account Holders also to:
- Administer the account ownership;
- Give you the opportunity to use the benefits of the Account Holder such as the ability to save favorites, prefilled information, more payment options, smoother handling of cases and complaints, and the ability to manage multiple addresses;
- Provide special offers;
- Enable communication with you as an Account Holder via post, email, telephone, or SMS/MMS; and
- Enable personalized offers, marketing, and event invitations via telephone, post, email, and SMS/MMS.
6. The legal bases for our processing of your personal data
6.1 Parently bases the processing of your personal data on a number of legal bases. These are described in this section.
6.2 We process your personal data, among other things, to fulfill the contract with you as a customer or as an Account Holder, such as to carry out bookings, purchases, and to be able to fulfill our commitments to you as an Account Holder, such as simplified administration and order history. Based on this legal ground, we also process information about you as an Account Holder, such as your purchases, your behavior on our website, your interaction with Parently, and your interest in our offers and products to be able to fulfill our commitment to provide you with personalized offers.
6.3 Some of the processing of personal data that we carry out is based on a so-called balance of interests. This applies, for example, to the processing we perform in order to send offers to you about our goods and services and to perform a limited segmentation of customers, e.g., based on total purchase amounts. Parently does not process sensitive personal data based on a balance of interests and does not perform any processing that constitutes profiling based on a balance of interests.
6.4 In some cases, Parently may have a legal obligation to process your personal data. This applies, for example, to the processing of personal data that we carry out to meet the requirements of accounting laws.
7. Profiling
7.1 Parently may process your personal data through profiling if you are an Account Holder. If you are an Account Holder, information about how you use our website, which of our goods, services, and offers you have been interested in, which of our newsletters you have interacted with, and which of our events you have signed up for, information about your purchases, and information about your account ownership are analyzed to provide you with offers that we believe suit you and to invite you to events we think you would like to attend.
7.2 You can object to the processing of personal data through profiling at any time. You do this by contacting Parently at hej@parently.se. When Parently has received your notification, Parently will cease processing your personal data for this purpose.
8. How long do we keep information about you?
8.1 Your personal data is only stored as long as there is a need to save them to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Parently may store the data for longer if necessary to comply with legal requirements or to protect Parently's legal interests, for example, if there is an ongoing legal process.
8.2 Parently stores information about customers for a maximum of 24 months after the customer last made a purchase or otherwise interacted with Parently.
8.3 Parently stores information about Account Holders as long as the Account Holder has a Parently account.
9. To whom do we disclose personal data?
9.1 Parently may disclose your data to third parties, such as to partners and providers of card and communication services. Parently may also disclose your data to companies that provide services for address updates to ensure that we have the correct address information for you.
9.2 Third parties to whom Parently discloses information or otherwise provides information about a customer or Account Holder may only use the information for the purpose of selling and marketing Parently's and Parently's partners and group companies' services and products or for the purpose of providing services related to Parently's agreement with you as a customer or Account Holder. If you have chosen to take out insurance with us, personal data may also be disclosed to insurance companies.
9.3 Personal data may further be disclosed by Parently if necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements or demands from authorities, to protect Parently's legal interests, or to detect, prevent, or draw attention to fraud and other security or technical issues.
9.4 Parently may transfer your personal data to a country outside the EU/EEA if any of Parently's suppliers or partners are located there. If personal data are transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, Parently will take steps to ensure that personal data continue to be protected and also take the necessary measures to legally transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA.
9.5 We will not sell your personal data to third parties unless we have your permission to do so.
10. Changes to the privacy policy
10.1 Parently has the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time. Parently will notify you with reasonable notice of changes to the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the changes, you have the right to terminate the agreement with Parently before the revised Privacy Policy takes effect. You terminate the agreement by contacting Parently, or, if you are an Account Holder, by selecting [terminate account] on the upcoming "My Pages".
11. The protection of your personal data
You should always feel secure when submitting your personal data to us. Therefore, Parently has taken the necessary security measures to protect your personal data against improper access, alteration, and deletion. For example, all information about customers and
Account Holders is stored in a database that is protected by access control and a firewall.
12. Your rights
12.1 Parently is responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable legislation.
12.2 Parently will, at your request or on its own initiative, correct, anonymize, delete or supplement information that is discovered to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.
12.3 You have the right to request
1. Access to your personal data. This means that you have the right to request a registry extract regarding the processing we carry out concerning your personal data. You also have the right to receive a copy of the personal data being processed. You have the right once per calendar year, through a written and signed application, to receive a registry extract free of charge about which personal data are registered about you, the purposes of the processing, and to which recipients the data have been or will be disclosed. You also have the right to receive in the registry extract information about where the data was collected if the personal data was not collected from you, the existence of automated decision-making (including profiling), and the intended period for which the data will be stored or the criteria used to determine this period. You also have the right to receive information in the registry extract about your other rights specified in this point.
2. Correction of your personal data. We will correct incorrect or incomplete data we process about you as soon as possible at your request.
3. Deletion of your personal data. This means that you have the right to request that your personal data be deleted if they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. However, there may be legal requirements that we do not immediately delete your personal data, for example in accounting and tax legislation. We will then end the processing done for other purposes than complying with the legislation.
4. Limitation of processing. This means that your personal data is marked so that it can only be processed for certain limited purposes. You may, for example, request a limitation when you believe your data is incorrect and you have requested correction according to point 12.3 b). While the accuracy of the data is being investigated, the processing of them will be limited.
12.4 Parently will notify each recipient to whom personal data has been disclosed according to point 10 above about any corrections or deletions of data and limitations on processing of data.
12.5 You have the right to data portability. This means a right, under certain conditions, to extract and transfer your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format to another data controller.
12.6 You have the right to object to the processing of personal data carried out based on a balance of interests. If you object to such processing, we will only continue the processing if there are legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests.
12.7 If you do not want us to process your personal data for direct marketing, you always have the right to object to such processing by sending an email to hej@parently.se. Once we have received your objection, we will cease processing the personal data for such marketing purposes.
12.8 You have the right to lodge any complaints regarding the processing of your personal data with the Data Inspection Authority.
